White (Charlotte&#8217;s Web)<br><br>One day while preparing for the Artists of Shelter Island (ARTSI), a collection of local artists on Shelter Island who open their studios, as part of their August Art show. I started to loosely paint the churning waters around Shelter Island around the South Fork. One was a commission to do a large painting one of the choppy waves and I&#8217;ve done several smaller ones since then. When I paint the turbulent waters my inspiration comes from living here on Shelter Island. I thought it would be a good theme for an exhibition dealing with thoughts and feelings about getting older.
